Augusto Jaramillo Pineda & Anne Minetti

Closeness can be threatening and distance can promise protection. But proximity can also offer security and distance can be based on fear. Every day brings with it multi-layered movements of rapprochement and dissociation. With a youthful trio of dancers and performers, RISKANT NAH explores modes, motives, dynamics, failure and success of this omnipresent challenge. Whether conscious manoeuvre or unconscious reflex, seriousness or play: how and why do we open or close ourselves to groups and individuals, strangers, confidants, partners or desired ones?

The young artists create a danced scenario full of physical poetry and clever wit, as taboo as it is fragile. About longings and fears, self-location and self-expression, archaic patterns, wishes and realities, pain and happiness.
