Showing: Dans la peau de l’autre
Kossi Sébastien Aholou-Wokawui
Insight into a choreographic research by Kossi Sébastien Aholou-Wokawui & Tomas Bünger
In times of growing xenophobia, the dancers Kossi Sébastien Aholou-Wokawui and Tomas Bünger seek the opposite way “into the skin of the other”. In their joint research they try to settle into the body of the other, to dive into the physical body, its gestures, its memories and its knowledge.
With their different life and dance biographies in the background, they enter into a sensitive dialogue, feel common ground and individual stories. Trusting that the present can learn from the past, they seek curious nonchalance and humorous rebelliousness in dealing with the unfamiliar. In doing so, they design and celebrate a mirroring ritual, a liberating living out of the other in the own and the own in the other.
