Augusto Jaramillo Pineda

ADONAI is an enigmatic, multi-perspective game with the figure of thought “God”. With intrepid curiosity and level-headed wit, choreographer Augusto Jaramillo Pineda searches through the most diverse concepts of faith and the theory of evolution for the divine in people and the human in gods.

To the musical collage of natural sounds, Latin folklore and Michael Jackson, world and god concepts are set in motion on stage. What do we expect from “Him” or “He” from us? And why? Are we his creation or is he ours? Philosophy, anthropology, theology, myths and rituals inspire a highly intensive solo full of vital reflections on a basic theme of human existence.
