ADRIFT / THE RESONANCE

Felix Landerer / Helge Letonja

„Ours is an age between worldviews, … a transitional era when the old cultural vision no longer holds and the new has not yet constellated. Yet we are not without signs of what the new might look like“ (Richard Tarnas)

For the first time, two choreographies by the two founders of the ensemble Of Curious Nature can be seen on stage in one evening. Felix Landerer shows a group in a state of dissolution of stability they thought they had. The loss of stability, the disappearance of established knowledge, trigger a physical state of alarm and evoke interpersonal dynamics. A balancing act between destructive and creative elements that chaos holds in store. Helge Letonja traces resonance as a relationship to the world. The natural frequencies of the bodies become the starting point of the choreography: impulses intensify, emotions form movements that spread through the space like seismic waves. When “the wire to the world vibrates and one’s own relationship to the world begins to breathe” (Hartmut Rosa), the energy arises that enables something to be set in motion.
