SONGS OF LOVE AND BONES
Helge Letonja
With “Songs of Love and Bones”, Helge Letonja leads the audience into an artistic oasis of sensuality The new choreography reveals complex, surprising and profound facets of love in the intensity of dance and authentic closeness. From the spring-like awakening of social beings to the darker side of complex relationship patterns, the dancers move to evergreen favourites and newly discovered love songs. With their expressive and individual dance languages and the special combination of contemporary, popular music from the genres of jazz, soul and pop, they not only reach dance-loving audiences, but also open up direct access for all those who are newer to this artistic expression. In finely drawn solos and duets, conflicts and vulnerabilities are unmasked, longings are exposed and inwardness is turned outward. The dance becomes a dialogue between the body and the songs, which enables a deep experience by fanning out interhuman emotional worlds and, with a wink of the eye, invites you to question what we have learned as our role models.
